Sorbus aria Majestica is a medium size tree with a compact conical crown becoming round at maturity. The large oval leaf growth emerges silvery white in spring and quickly becomes a glossy dark green on the upper side. The leaves are held on the tree long into autumn making this a good choice for screening.  Whitebeam produces clusters of small white flowers in late spring/early summer followed by red berry like fruits. The compact and upright shape makes Sorbus aria Majestica a good choice for gardens and avenues but it is as equally at home in parks and woodland growing to 8-12m tall.
